Il Museo della Nostra Terra (The Museum of our Land)
The museum was established in 1976, it takes up the ground floor of St. Augustine’s former Convent , which dates back to the seventeenth century. It’s an ethnographic and agricultural museum, with 14 sections spread over an area of 750 square meters. The environments of the farmhouses and craft shops have been faithfully reconstructed: the barn, the cellar, the cooper’s laboratory, the kitchen, the bedroom, the hall of the bathroom’s furnishings, the local children's playground, the school, the wagons, the big agricultural tools and the shoemaker’s workshop. There are also kept farming and hunting tools, the tavern, the weaving room. The Mill on the River, branch of the museum, preserves its original structure, with the pond, the sluice and still functioning waterfalls. The structure, complete in all its parts, recreates the miller's moments of life and work.
